Bridging the gap between civic, climate and fintech to deliver SMART cities of the future Global South.
The Challenge:
Migrating populations vs. land (and other resource) scarcity, socio-economic remnants of colonial policies and the threat of climate change, all combine to create distinct challenges to the management of urbanization and the international relevance of the cities of The Global South.
Our Solution:
FutureCITY [x] is an urban design platform that combines citizen-driven data, with AI-powered sustainable design metrics, and digital twin architecture to design, assess, fund and deliver the SMART cities of the future Global South. We focus on the city as a living laboratory; an urban ecosystem that places the citizen at the heart of development conversations, allowing stakeholders to make better design and policy interventions where environmental, social, and economic goals converge, thereby creating a sustainable and inclusive cityscape for generations to come. We mine and translate the intangible elements of city living, such as the human experience, quality of life indices, access to nature and carbon footprint, and use these to guide the design and execution of tangible outputs such as the adaptive re-use of unused spaces, infrastructural investment and climate mitigation solutions.
Through the Measurement Reporting Verification component of our platform, each FutureCITY [x] urban design project has the option to be valued and released into our proprietary Carbon Marketplace for the creation and trade of tokenized Built Environment Carbon Credits that allow all citizens within the network to invest in, fund and/or fractionally own a piece of their city.
